Was just going to say this. It's no longer a requirement in the FAR's and it's not in our FOM. You might want to check your FOM to be sure but otherwise you should be fine.

Has anyone been able to measure the noise difference from the 320 cockpit? I really don't notice that much a difference and would really like to go just on the speaker. Going back to a headset permanently especially as we start transcons soon isn't appealing at all. Haven't used a headset above transition for 24 years.

I’m not on the 220 but agree with your sentiment. It’s extremely easy to mitigate noise and hearing loss while going topless above transition altitude

Crew rooms usually have a supply of generic ones, too

TSO has been a debate for many years. The QC-15's can be TSO'd the QC-35's are "still in the works"

It all comes down to how the plane was certified and if the company requires them.

TMK few airlines do require it. It is my understanding the B727, B737, A320 series, A220 Series do not require it in their certifications

Does the 220 have the 5-pin XLR plug?

On a 320, the Apple watch showed 72 dbs.

Just got onto the 220 and having a hard time finding an ideal place to clip on my A20 chord or the headset not getting in the way during preflight etc. For those on the 220 for a while and use the A20, where do you typically attach/place your headset?
