Then I see no reason to give anything up... Especially if regulators want to strengthen a LCC against the current big 4.

Is that data with the NEA?

Yup. The most recent was the investor call he did when asked about this. He said that he expects the NEA lawsuit to be completed before the DOJ inquiry into the NK JBLU merger begins. When asked if he would give up the NEA he said “we don’t believe we have to do that for the merger to be approved”

It would be negotiating against himself to publicly put on the record that he is willing to Sophie Choice one of the two. He isn’t that foolish.

Yes, here is the comparison 2019 vs 2021

2019 NYC region market share:
UA 23.44%
DL 23.38%
B6 12.84%
AA 11.87%
WN 2.79%
NK 2%

2021 NYC region market share:
UA 25.29%
DL 23.12%
B6 19.66%
AA 13.19%
NK 3.61%
WN 2.12%

NYC raw pax numbers are still way down compared to 2019 with DL/UA/AA around -40% compared to pre-pandemic. B6 is -16% and NK is flat.

Anecdotally, about 90% of the B6 pilots that I talk to genuinely want this thing to happen. It would be a better future for all of us — more negotiating power, a better contract, and more bases.

Me too buddy.... me too. I'm mostly certain that if F9 gets us, i'm putting out some apps to see what options I have. All airline management is toxic I think, but F9 seems to be the worst of the worst in terms of their view of labor. Spending potentially almost 3 decades under F9 management is pretty much a non-starter for me. Life at Spirit pre-covid was amazing. Things have turned, but it's still not a bad place to be.
