Not even close. AA/UA have flight attendants with 50 years of longevity. 50 years.

This new airline is going to be legacy-lite. I can easily see senior FA's parking it here for the rest of their life.

Have a family member, friend, somebody check you in…..when I used to commute my wife did it for me all the time. Nothing says you can’t have someone check you in.

Hell, my wife was faster on the trigger with the 24hr time than I ever was, I was always the first S4 when she did it.

Yeah a family member can check in everyone in that case, if you can't. But really, it works out fine when I travel with my family. The who idea of JB not overbooking flights help tremendously. There is also Super pass to move you/your family up in priority if need be. 4 Super passes every anniversary at the company though, but again if you even need that.

It's not what you imagine. Very few check in right at 24 hours in advance.

The combined airline might have 35,000 employees. That's still 40% less than southwest and we don't have any regional pilots like the big-3.

If I have been at Jetblue for 25 years, a new hire fa doesn’t deserve to bump me
and my family. I’d rather have doh

So you have been here since before the airline started copy... no wonder you want it DOH

This has always been a touchy subject. Personally despite being below the half way mark I would say DOH would be more fair. Someone with more years given of service deserves higher priority. I do see where that becomes an issue of checking in last minute and bumping someone else that didn’t expect it.

As far as flight crew having more priority I do think there should be a scale. For pilots and mechanics this is a career. For the other work groups this is a job. My 21 year old cousin could be doing this for the benefits while she finishes school. That person shouldn’t have more priority than those work groups that won’t be bouncing around and are so more committed to the airline.

If DOH counts it should only be valid during the first hour of check in. I like knowing my priority (more or less) well before dragging my family out to the airport.

Standby travel is one area where B6 may literally be the best in the industry.

At the bottom there is still lots of turnover in those positions. Someone w no skin in the game shouldn’t be able to bump my family
