Default New Co Terminal MIA

Now that Miami will be a new co terminal it might be beneficial to those who don’t know the section of the CBA to become more familiar with transportation from Base to Co terminals if you decline in-base parking.

CBA 25.Z.7.e.iii

A Pilot who does not elect to receive parking at his Base shall be provided:

a. Company designated commercial ground transportation between the Pilot’s Base and Co-Terminal Airport .
b. Should the Company elect to not provide ground trans- portation, the Pilot shall be reimbursed the round trip rate not to exceed the amount charged by the designated commercial ground transportation vendor .

So decline in base parking and get company paid/reimbursed transportation from FLL to either PBI or MIA. (Tends to be an Uber reimbursed in concur)

FYI…

I’ll bet they do away with Uber reimbursement and go with Tri-rail

Uh…ok? How’d you deduce that?

Because they are cheap and want to reimburse as little as possible for parking 😂

I have no real info just being a disgruntled pilot

MIA is a co-base? This is the first I’m hearing this. I seem to have missed the memo.

You didn’t get the memo unless you were FLL based. You’d probably hear about it on the Friday CP update, if I had to take a guess.

Neither the tri rail or the brightline go to the airports. It’s a real PIA and stupid design. The tri rail only goes to MIA and no other airports.

BIG screw up imo for the brightline.

How far away from PBI and FLL does the tri rail drop off? It has a stop on its map for each of those airports

Short bus ride, unless you just miss it then it can be a significant wait for the next bus.

Thank you! More to consider for a base swap
