Me thinks he would not be so keen to take that first upgrade if he lived in say Pennsylvania. Perhaps he doesn't remember the days of pre EWR base where WE were paid to limo to EWR. I'm sure the company would love take that away in exchange for all encompassing NYC base. Bottom line is this: if you want to eat go to JFK, there is 48% less food (daily departures) at EWR now there there was a year ago. I’lladmit as a West of Hudson guy life was better for me pre EWR base, but it is a Seniority based system.

I think there’s a point somewhere in here. You’re all over the place. Yes, seniority. You know what else is seniority? Our VDA system. And that’s a broken mess. In case you miss it, my point is there’s middle ground to satisfy a larger percentage of the pilot group WHILE respecting seniority.
