To be somewhat fair, re: Latin America, I know AA dropped their NY to Colombia routes in the last couple years (first Cali and Medellin, the Bogota). They also dropped NY to Chile. So maybe Latin America is underperforming in general. But they also added NY to Mexico City and Monterrey.

Which is total BS. The past 2 years have been nothing but economic tailwinds for the airlines. Cheap oil, a robust economy that, despite chatter about a recesion, did nothing but grow. Record travel, record pax numbers, record high average airfares...
And, despite all that, we've lost billions. Frankly, I don't see how this airline isn't staring bankruptcy square in the face, with or without Carl.

I believe the buy is the 30th. I was going to hold through the original investor day in May, but now that it is postponed until the fall, I'm considering selling right away. Not sure how much good news is going to come our way this year until then.

Probably correct about the Big 3, but maybe different scenario under new DOJ/Administration. Perhaps a more realistic tie-up w/B6 would be AS (HA) or even WN if they want to diversify their fleet types. AS (HA) and/or WN might entertain Airbus now due to Boeing issues/delays and to gain B6 east coast assets/real estate (NY, BOS, FL, SJU, Europe). Just an opinion... again, assuming a new DOJ.

Did we think this was going to drag into 2025? They keep saying we need to grow, but how can we continue to have less capacity into 2025 and grow? It’s all smoke and mirrors with everything that’s said and at some point the nonsense needs to stop.

No, the guidance was "near breakeven" for 2024. Now it's more like "nowhere near breakeven." And did anyone else notice the E190 is now "end of 2025" instead of summer?
