10 year anniversary party
#2
I can see the point, but on the other hand I have zero desire to be an elected rep and answer calls from angry pilots all day/night. Yes they get FPL, steak dinners, 10yr parties, etc but if that’s the price to keep them in the position then so be it.

Im not asking for them to give up all their perks. I'm asking if that is a reasonable amount of dues spent for an event?

btw this party was entirely at the discretion of the MEC chairman.
The JFK LEC also chose to forgo the FPL for the record..

This is members money. Our money. There's already enough distrust when it comes to spending, but now we're going to go ahead and just be okay with a $2k/head party, all because it's been 10 years? They're elected members, not celebrities. Absolute waste of funds and completely unprofessional.
