While my opinion of the outlook of this company is pretty low right now, I have never felt mistreated to the point I'd consider a regional a better fit. Being on reserve sucks everywhere if you are junior. Take VIL, use your sick days, if you get dependability reviews forward them to me so I can finish wallpapering my kids' rooms. We have a fantastic group of pilots here.

Not only that but I’m how they will get new recruits. Why go to United when you can pilot with payne

Anyway to the guy looking to come here this is easy. Put the app in get hired if you don’t like it bail. You never know with this industry what will happen and definitely don’t take internet advice

Yeah, I just read it for boredom value anymore. I got much better feedback on reddit threads when asking about SJU domicile airlines (my horizon is closing in on 2.5 years out now). The level of toxicity here and "legacy or bust" 30yr-career-centering boilerplate is unhelpful.
Other than DM a few folks about F9 (similar vitriol, and even some anti-mil hostility to add insult to injury) I didn't even bother asking about B6. Reddit has been a lot more actionable tbh.
In fairness to the place, I did get actionable networking value off the mil subforum about 14 years ago when I came to a fork in the road in my mil career, so I stuck around.

If you aren't happy with the negative sentiment around here (which is warranted unfortunately), I'll add one potential reason to come here. While the retirement numbers at the big 3 are winding down ours are just about to start. If you are young and IF this place is still around in 8 years, and IF it stays the same size, (both big IFs), you should see some decent movement around that time.
Just keep in mind, pay raises and QOL improvements are going to be very difficult to attain when we have $8,000M in debt at 7% interest, and are only generating $150M in cash flow a year.
