I'm not familiar with the location of Delta's concourse in MCO, is it close to Jetblue's?

Do you think JetBlue will try to scoop up some of the gates they are dropping?

There are 4 concourses at MCO. Two on the west side and two on the east. JB is currently at the NE concourse with SWA, AirTran and I think Spirit. JB has only one gate to work out of and no room for expansion at this concourse. DAL is on the same side of the airport in the SE concourse. This may be a good opportunity for JB to add gates and keep them all together.

Jetblue currently has 2 gates at MCO with plans to expand long before the recent Delta announcement. There are some in the same concourse we're in now that could come available. It wouldn't make too much sense to split up their operations by taking the Delta gates. I don't expect they would take those gates.

Neil, are the soon to be completed gates on the north end of the table spoken for? Are you guys getting those? I know SWA is getting all the ones at the south end. What gates are going to become available? Very interesting about DAL.

Tonight I parked at gate 111 and the agent told me we were getting an additional 2 gates next door.

JetBlue started ops with gate 112, and picked up gate 111 full-time about a year ago. With the new gates opening at each concourse end for SWA and AirTran, we are gaining gates 110 and 101, which are contiguous. With an entire wing opening up at Airside 4, JB might indeed move its entire operation there, but that's pure speculation. For sure there won't be much room left in Airside 2 for expansion unless they pave over the garden, and I would hate for that to happen.
