Yes.
This is part of the email I received... "... Space will be limited and pilots must have an active application on file. Registration will open May 5 on the ALPA Fee-for-Departure Committee (FFDC) website. This event is for active ALPA members/pilots only. " Funny they specify "active". Wouldn't want to open it up to furloughed ("inactive") ALPA pilots or anything, lol. Is it worth the trip to Orlando for a Regional FO with 1,000 hrs Part 121 and 2,500 hours total... or wait til I have another 1,000 hrs to make me "competitive" ? |

I heard about 1,000 total applicants in the January window, not just competitive applicants. Just something I heard, but if it's true, I would say that they are hurting right now.
Just under 2000 for that window....about 1850 Gup |

I bet the majority, if not all, slots will be JFK Airbus next few classes, maybe a few BOS choices but very little or no 190.

I thought the same as well. I went to save it and afterwards when I checked it, the apps in progress section writes "expires May 30, 2017".
I was almost thinking of not applying.... Honestly Delta, United, American in third. JetBlue is good, but obviously they're far behind the legacies in many respects. True. But better than a regional. Too many regional guys think they are too good for jetblue, Spirit and Atlas but at the end of the day you, your bad day at those airline is better than your best day at a regional. Never pass up an interview offer. Worst case it's good practice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
