In the long run the CBA will have an affect on the hiring (monthly hour caps), however that is most likely at least 2-3 years away. For now you are correct it is 100% up to management how many we hire.

Are you serious? I havent seen a line over 83 hours in over a year.

As far as I know they don't run your credit report.

Some corporate gigs do though.

IMO, airlines should be last in line to judge anyone about a bankruptcy!

I averaged 97 last year usually the benefit of company induced screw ups that help creep my numbers up plus picking up a 1 day here and there. This year has been slower but still around 86. And yes I'm serious. The moment our CBA comes back with a hourly cap the company will have to hire, basic cause and effect.

There will not be any caps. Lets put $200 on it since inflation over the next 2 years will make that worthless.

I can't see this happening. What other airline with a CBA has a capped line value?

CaptCoolHand 05-01-2014 09:36 AM

There is no reason to cap credit unless you have guys on the street. Work rules will force more hiring. We won't have caps.

Does anyone have the class drop for 4/30?

From someone in the class I heard 9 Airbus, 16 190, though he didn't mention breakdown of bases.

Anyone know the average age range of folks in class and past classes? Generally are older people going to the bus and younger people going to the 190 or is it a mix bag? Is the 190 more attractive to most people due to the ability to hold a line faster and quicker upgrade? Thanks in advance for
replies.

In general The Bus goes to more senior folks but there are always exceptions. My class had 14 Bus slots (9 Apr). I was #7 in seniority and was the first to choose the 190 (I live in Boston and could go there straight out of training on the 190 but not the 320). My class was more about the plane than the seniority but there have been classes in the past that cared more about upgrade. Everyone has its own personality.
