Bet it's a factor of 330 ;)

Yup scaring the poolies. I thought the hiring was going to be for mostly 320 growth. Don't want to wait for a class forever!

Makes the May-September time frame more understandable. Bright side is there is more time to save acorns...(even though I'd prefer to be hungry).

For those applying at JetBlue here is an update on benefits.

Beginning in January jetblue airways will now cover gender reassignment surgery under its benefits package.

Jetblue airways will not provide coverage for Autism.

I thought they changed it for "behavioral" issues. Very disappointing if this is still unchanged.

Can you expand on this? What was covered and what isn't now? Under the new health care laws pre existing conditions (autism) must be covered. Are you referring to costs?

The 330 is an expiring airframe as well. It makes zero financial sense to take delivery of an aircraft at the end of its life span.
Currently distant cities are more important to Jetblue than wide body service. If this can be accomplished with a narrow body 321 NEO LR management is inclined to do so despite the benefits to a wide body for cargo.

330's would fit right into the Cleveland market. Soak up that capacity.

^^^this

Id bet money that we will get A321NEO-LRs to test the waters on longer haul flights. If that goes well then maybe a widebody would show up. The LRs wont enter service until 2019, so even that is a long ways off.

Not exactly. Jetblue insurance is the worst of any major airline and most regionals. Pre-existing conditions are covered but as far as Autism is concerned only the diagnosis is covered out-of-network while gender reassignment surgery is covered in-network. How many of our pilots have autistic children? How much advertising does jetblue use to tell the world it supports Autism? How much support does Jetblue provide for Autistic employees, zero. Want to have your gender reassigned, welcome to Jetblue.

I don't care if someone wants to change their gender. This isn't the issue. Take care of the sick children you already have is my issue.
