Once they split the bill into two parts it wasn’t a matter of if, but when.

I saw something about it passing. I haven’t been following politics, but the passing of this Bill would essentially negate the AIP for now? Is that correct? I’m not sure how long the payroll protection lasts, but it definitely seems to be a game changer...albeit temporary.

I thought I read somewhere ... payroll support retroactive Dec 1st , with a four month support period.

I also saw something to the effect of a tax deduction for those of us that didn’t qualify for the stimulus check based on 2019 tax returns but had a lower income in 2020. Our household income did not qualify in 2019 (nor would most pilots I’d surmise) but we would qualify based on our 2020 numbers given reduced hours, spouse job loss, etc.

I hope I don’t qualify for any money from the government.

4 months from Dec 1st? That doesn’t do a whole lot for us

Airline workers will be paid retroactive to Dec. 1 and airlines will have to resume flying some routes they stopped after the aid package expired, congressional aides briefed on the talks said. Airline workers cannot be furloughed through March 31 as a condition of the assistance.”

Better than nothing, hopefully things start to pick up come April > Summer flying

True that-better than nothing. Definitely happy for the furloughed American pilots.
