Ihave 5+ years flying the Executive Mailing Tube. Still have much of my hearing left over too! Like you said, I will never again be as good of a pilot as I was back then flying that thing multiple legs a day with no autopilot. Then again, now I can afford a little hamburger to put in my hamburger helper!

a bunch of my former metroliner buddies have been coming down with very bad and strange cancers however....not to alarm you but we just buried a 42 y/o buddy with pancreatic cancer....it is an alarming rate and no one has put the two together , but three in the last two years all flew the metro with me....

I think it's great that you're so pumped on JB. I also hope they are still around in 10 years. Good luck.

i am not so much up on B6, but want to debate the facts...perhaps i am wrong...don't know...but i do believe that Skudbus, VX and B6 are not the problem in the industry....i think there is a bigger animal that no one is willing to discuss...
cheers!
ps awesome pic dude.....lol

actually a320 i was at the regionals in the ealy 90's...we wanted to get a flow up/flow down agreement with our big brothers....this was before delta bought ASA and Comair....i was on a committee with ALPO National and also worked with our big brother MEC on the issue...granted, these issues would have to have been negotiated and then put into contracts, but our big brother MEC never would bring it to the table....then National scrapped the whole thing...
this is how it would have worked....Comair guy, after 3 years PIC in the RJ, flows up to Delta....during ecomomic downturn..like 9/11 and beyond...Delta furloughees ..would flow down to the RJ....BIG debate on which seat....most likely would have been down to RJ F/O...
the irony is that i was at a legacy after 9/11 and had no job to flow down to....
I believe this is the big issue....the big boys and their regional partners..essentially...comair is delta's B scale (actually C now)....but they want to blame b6 and vx.....

Funny, I am making more money here in my first year than at the mighty unionized AMR Corp. It is everybody's choice to go to the E190, so stop whining. And yes we did negotiate a raise for them. A few meetings with Dave and it was done. None of that "contract is not up for another 6 years BS'.
