There's no way to know that for sure until the Chief walks into the welcome reception. That said, the June system bid had the vacancies at 4:1 bus so yes many new hires will join the bus this spring..

It's cyclical with what happened 2 years ago. Guys (many, not all for sure) tend to bid out of the 190 right seat when they can, so the 190 new hire vacancies are driven by what was assigned in class 2 years prior to the system bid quarter. The bus vacancies are driven by deliveries are an essentially continuous stream. The driver for the vacancies that make it down to the new hire level is whether there are guys coming off of the 190 to fill those bus slots.

Early 2015 was a lot of bus hiring, so not too many 190 FO's eligible to bid off right now. Late 2015 and early 2016 was a lot of 190 hiring, so I expect this will swing back over to lots of 190 vacancies for new hires by late 2017..

The company is very concerned about new hires jumping ship because we are losing new hires left and right.

Some don't show up for class.

Some leave during class.

Some leave in FTD or MTP.

Some leaving during OE.

Some leave right after IOE.

Those that remain IMO have applications elsewhere.

That is the reality and if this offends you then there are medications for that because what is occurring will not change even if we get a TA in 20XX.
