Talk about furloughs by whom? Nobody in charge has even whispered that word.

I actually did hear this from a Jumpseater, who had just heard about it from the person who gave them their Jumpseat letter.

A trickle at the moment. We've heard that in 2 months we'll be back up and running with the hiring. If you are in a *need a job right now* type situation....Atlas/Southern and I believe ABX have been hiring.

Atlas/Southern is REALLY short pilots. Our last 5 newhire classes got us 15 pilots. I think our next few classes will be full...

Unfortunately because of your contract. But you should get relief from the regionals, charter, fractional, and military.

There will be no furloughs. Rather than write a whole paragraph why, just ask someone who was around in 2011. Lesson learned by the company. KalittaAir is successful because they are able to move quickly when it is time to fly. Just as it became a couple of weeks ago. Every airframe flying and booking max hours.

Kalitta Hiring 100 Pilots

A friend in HR said they will be hiring 100 pilots in about a month if you can wait that long. They are just waiting for the planes to become available. Take it for what its worth.

That's awesome if true. Has anyone heard of any April interviews, or are they skipping that month till May? Also any ideas if they are holding the May class and if so what type aircraft? Thanks!

That's amazing news for anyone looking for a job soon. Competition will be tough. It may be worth interview prep to make yourself stand out.

Wonderful news if true. Looking forward to hearing about it from a source besides a brand-new APC poster, of course. ;)

Can't imagine a much comfier lifeboat in these times than K4.
