Kalitta Air now accepting FO applications

If you can fly the sim and don't come across as a complete A$$, the job is yours. The interview is straight forward get to know ya. The tech stuff isn't too bad and they don't hold too much against you. Holding speeds, continuing beyond the FAF if wx drops below mins, difference between Transition Level/Altitude etc.

Well, I got the call Friday afternoon to set up an interview! I was in the middle of a five leg day, so I wasn't able to call back right away. I'll try back first thing Monday morning.
The only question I have concerns the reduction of 200's. The last thing I want to do is get hired on to a company that is slowly shrinking with no replacement aircraft in sight. On the other hand, if I wanted stability in a career, I would've became an accountant...
Also, are the schedules still "roughly" 17/13?
I was doing 60/30 rotations at the last gig, so 17 on really isn't that bad. Plus, I do miss the unpredictability, and the whole idea of not knowing where I'm going to be from one day to the next.
Thanks in advance for any info ya'll can provide!

The schedule is still 17/13 for a 30 day month and 17/14 for a 31 day month.
Good Luck!!

I heard recently that they are having a harder time getting people with this level of experience and they may be lowering the time requirement. I'm not sure if this is true (yet) or not and I'm also not sure if the 5000 hours is an insurance thing or not. But keep trying if you want to work here.

Scub..... keep trying... the last round of hiring went ... so so... some no shows... some quit during training.... just got back yesterday from a 17 day trip... most of which was spent riding around with a Check Airman doing OE.... both guys I saw... one ex World.. one ex ASTAR and Army chopper guy ... were very good guys... with lots of experience... I know they hired a few young guys that I am pretty sure shy on time... but I don't know that for sure. Highlight the fact you worked for Evergreen and are typed...albeit in the classic. Word of caution.. this is a big girl panties training program on the -400.... come prepared to work during the meat of the 4 week program.
All that said... I like the schedule... thats why I am here. Some good stuff here.. some bad stuff here... YMMV.

Nothing counts until its on property... BUT I was just in OSC getting a bird out of A Check and the mx guys we spoke to confirmed they expect the next -400F to be picked up end of the month.

I think they are going to try and keep 4 200's for at least another year. As long as they keep making money, Connie's gonna keep flying em.

I received an email a few days ago from a gal in the office asking to update my online application. Don't know what that means but perhaps they're looking to interview. I was unable to attend the last lime I was invited to interview.
