The only solution I think would suit you would to be a single pilot in a VLJ for a corporate outfit or air taxi, but as you know, jobs in this economy are hard to find. However, you will have to network into one of those outfits and will have to deal with a small number of passengers. I imagine a reputable operator of these VLJs will maintain them well. The smaller the operator, the more flight planning you will be doing...which you stated that you enjoyed.

Are you still living in the Cleveland area? Cant guarantee anything but PM me and I can point you in a couple directions to go as to entry level part 135 jobs in the area, as I am originally from greater Cleveland/Akron. I dont currently reside there (I had enough of those absurd winters) but I still have some business contacts there.

Good Idea with the VLJs, were insurance/FAA letting 135 and corp fly single pilot in them yet? Hmm technicaly a Citation SP type rating could work too but I thought SP was for 91 only. Either way it will be a while untill 135 PIC time. But good stuff. Thanks.
