Default A Cautionary Tale?

Different career - similar problems in this case?
A cautionary tale of debt.

It does happen. I just finished my CPA this afternoon - $6500 in debt to do it. Not too bad, but it still needs to be paid off and quickly.

Uh, isn't there a forum called "money talk" for financial discussions? I didn't see anything in that article talking about changing careers, just debt and a doctor's mismanagement of her financial situation. Sounds like a "money talk" thread to me.

Sounds good. With all the 5th year stuff and the test, the whole thing took me 13 months and change. It'd be quite tough to manage this in a timely way while working all the time. But, people do it none the less.

Now its back to the real world. I haven't held a real job since the end of my airline involvement in Dec 2008. Though I've been busy, being able to function on my schedule and not 8-5 M-F has its advantages. But, with the airline world in the dump, I guess its time to go find an accounting job for a while. I could think of worse things I guess.
