From what I see, you’re not gonna **** them off. Our most recent hire was the chief instructor at a local school. Every time he was in the facility he made a point of letting the office manager know he was interested.

An FLSA-Non Exempt employee has the choice in this scenario.

Yeah, I meant to say below those levels a non-exempt has a choice, I just duplicated what I typed by mistake. The "scheduled overtime" is very rare IME, outside of some necessary travel situations in the first year, like core hours on the weekend, etc.

For anyone applying via the OTS option, assuming you are well qualified, how long does it normally take to hear back from anyone?

I applied OTS in the beginning of May and was contacted in Late May. Im still in the process now. I’m heading down the GA side and still in the process. It’s not lightning quick but everyone has been super great so far.

I heard back in about 3 weeks. Application to start date is about 4-5 months if you are 135/121 current. Don’t be afraid to follow up with the local.

Thanks for the information. Yes, I am 121 current and check all the boxes for the qualifications. How do you find out where the openings are? USAjobs.gov has a posting but it simply says multiple locations. I live in the ATL area and would prefer that although I would consider a PCS for a year. I know they rate you as FG-9-12 Step 5 depending on background. Do you know if you get credit for military time.

Depends on what you did in the military. If you were a check type pilot or IP, then yes.
