How long is the hiring process? Scheduled to interview. How long after the interview do you get an offer? How long does the background check take? And Do you start fairly quickly after you pass the sim?

Are you applying under direct hire or the USA Jobs process? Direct hire might be a little quicker with everything, but normally 2-4 weeks after the interview you should hear something if you are selected. They'll start background and drug screen right away, and the sim/flight check will probably be scheduled another few weeks to a month out. Once you pass the check, it's a matter of days to get a firm offer and they will usually let you start as soon as you want you just have to wait until the first day of a pay period.

Direct hire. What does the sim/oral consist of? Is the interview just TMAT questions?

That being said, I do have a tool that you could possibly use if you are interested. Your checkride with be in a 737 either in OKC or Denver (United's sims), most likely OKC.

When I was preparing for it, there is a place that I found in Chicago that happens to have a simulator where they only charge around $125/hour. The sim itself doesnt move but the visuals are presented with screens that move. The cockpit is exactly like the one that you will use for your checkride and could be deemed invaluable if you dont have any time in a 737. Let me know if you are interested in hearing more and I will elaborate

I might be interested in the 737 simulator, could you provide details?

Does anyone have recommendations of a place that does resume review for an ASI?

No, but keep in mind you are applying for a Federal job, not a pilot job. Be very thorough and make sure to include everything you did in each position. Try utilizing the CCAR method. There are federal resume hiring guides available online.

Thanks. I have been using the guidance from several links within USA Jobs and the FAA website to develop the resume. I'll look into CCAR too.

Use the resume builder on USAJobs.gov. It builds a resume preferred for federal jobs. Use that resume for applying on USAJobs.

I have been using that but there is also an expedited hiring process where you can now have the option to send a resume directly to [email protected]. Due to that I have been contomplating creating my own resume still that mirrors that resume builder or just using that program and saving that to send directly.
