But I've been doing just fine with the "pro" version on 2 computers with no subscription, and it works ok. I had the pleasure of entering in about 29 years of paper logbooks into logbook pro, and after a while I got used to it even with the handful of little UI annoyances.

The lack of a true cloud-based sync function to sync the logbook between 2 computers is probably my biggest annoyance or disappointing feature fail.
What he said, LBP is fine once you learn the interface, and no subscription just to keep using the software.

My company exports schedule data in a .cvs format, which LBP can import. You can build a template to automate the import. Once set up, that process takes about 60 seconds per month. Then you can just enter ldgs, IMC, night, approaches.

To synch between computers, I just use Free File Synch to synch all my files. LBP never even knows that the file it's using was synched from another computer. Also works for things like outlook pst files.

I looked at logbook pro, log x, mccpilotlog, and Safelog. I ended up going with Safelog. Most bang for the buck, and I'm very pleased with the interface and all the features.

I'll vote MccPilotLog as well. One time payment and it's fairly simple to understand what the software does and how it imports. They're also SUPER fast to reply to tech support emails
