I would forecast 9 months to a year. The quick upgrade ship has sailed on the 190 side of things. Which is exactly why we need to see a better bump in pay and work rules.

If you got hired right now, we’d need about 8 straight months of hiring behind you. 10 airplanes are planned for 2022. So that’s not out of the question.

Which is why I foresee the new aircraft eventually being put into a new base to spread the block around after the charter season is over.

Do you use ACARS? I consider reasonable reliability from a passenger standpoint above the mid nineties. A turn I am sure would be fine but 4 legs in the SE in the summer is going to see you pushing the block limits often.

A220 PIC $131/hr? At NetJets 1st year SIC's who pick up extra flying are breaking $150K:

Realistic FO salary at Netjets

The only attraction I see at Breeze is the "getting in on the ground floor" factor or if they have an available base you live in. I don't see how they're going to get enough pilots with the current job market. If you look at other threads you'll see many are convinced the Wholly Owned Regionals are going to have to be folded into mainline in order to get enough pilots.

Nobody knows how Breeze will staff those 220’s. I could see GoJets, commute or whiskey folding and those guys maybe going to breeze but they probably wouldn’t stay. There’s a lot better options out there.

Of course, who doesn’t use ACARS? Not sure what ACARS has anything to do duty limit days.

There were a few days over the course of the summer where a diversion happened so a reserve crew had to be called in for the second turn but the vast majority of the time it has worked.

I have yet to time out on any day due to block hours. It happened far more frequently flying in and out of NYC or MIA then it appears to affect TPA. I’ve only ever seen TPA backed up on the ground once since this summer and that actually happened last month.

Can a new hire hold TPA? And where do someone apply?

What I'm wondering is, did Breeze drop the new hire vaccine mandate and that little blurb about disclosing vaccination status is there just to keep the wokies at Black Rock happy? Are they really making people take weekly covid tests?

yes, there is no mandate. The disclosure did stick around so they know what protocols to use for possible exposures.

no testing
