My point is that of the highest 100 employees of the airline in any category CEO down to ramper, more than 80 will be pilots. Thats what I call high pay, don't you? That is with any US airline.

Do you want to bet that the top 80% of wage earners at hospitals are doctors.
How about the top 80% of people who work at law firms are lawyers.
The top 80% of people who work at stadiums are professional athletes.

How could you compare a pilots wage to that of a ticket agent, a ramper, a flight attendant. The only career you could reasonably compare pilots to are managers. Pilots make more than a typical manager, but less than the top executives.

Then we agree that pilots make a high standard of pay, which was my original statement. Including all managers the pilots are also in the top 900 out of 1000. Do you think that is right?

I was trying to comment on Rottweller's statement that"pilots are held to higher standard except when it comes to pay." Don't we agree that that they already have "higher pay"?

The last two attempts I am aware of, pilots trying to run an airline at Kiwi and the United ESOP were disasters.

Do pilots fly safer if they are making more money?

Yes!!! Because you attract a higher caliber of person into the ranks! If you are going to make being a Commercial Pilot job a "Mc Job" Then you are gonna get "Mc Joe Average"! Smarter -Brighter- and yes SAFER!

You keep dodging the question. Don't pilots already make "higher standard" of pay all all major carriers compared to all categories of employees including executives? If 80 out of a 100 of the top salaries at an airline are pilots, doesn't the answer have to be yes?
