Sad...NWA pilots just moved up on the senority list

Do you think if he was a Kaiser Doctor, a Philadelphia fireman, a San Diego lifegaurd, a Saint Louis bus driver, a Chicago policeman, etc..., do you think you would have mentioned his company and occupation??
Sounds kind of weird, but when its a Northwest Airline pilot, they make a big deal out of it. Personally, I think it is kind of nice. I think they are holding him in high regard. Some random person didn't get caught at the border, it was an airline pilot. Either that, or they hold airline pilots to higher standards. One of the two.

higher standards
I'm sure this will get more press space than when 'Big Al The Pilots Pal' (one of the people who owned NWA) got busted with dope. Or when the CEO of USAir got busted driving drunk. After all, pilots are held to a higher standard, except when it comes to pay.....

YES. All of your above mentioned occupations have one thing in common: peoples' safety.

How do you explain the fact that 80% plus of the top wage earners at all airlines are pilots. I would call that a high standard of pay wouldn't you?
