Lifestyle question. How is it flying for SWA? I've heard the fractional lifestyle is better, but just not as much pay. Any inputs?

How much can I expect to be away from home with SWA? How is the company to work for? etc...

Thanks

Expect 10-13 days a month of online flying if you don't do anything extra.
I'm on reserve, but it's 3 on 4 off.

10-13 days a month sounds nice.

I have a buddy starting in a few weeks. He wants to be based in MCO. Ant idea how long it would take for him to hold it?

I just spoke to a couple buddies who are new hires. They said a recent hire was in OAK for a month, somewhere else for about a month (Chicago?), then on to where they wanted after that. So, the first couple/few months are hard, but it gets better from there.

Actually, most of the new hires that want to go to MCO get it right out of training now.

OK, so what's the consensus (if there is one). Where will LAS fit into the picture? More junior than Oakland?

So how are domiciles awarded to new hires? I understand it is later on in training, but what is the process? Do you know what will be available beforehand?

I'm very curious about how LAS will factor in. I do think it will be very junior as it expands.
