I would bet it’s embry riddle students doing cross countries. Any time I flew with a riddle grad there was always something a bit off about them. Tendencies toward toolish behavior. The older ones grow out of it usually but a kid at riddle or just out needs a lot of years of seasoning to unlearn that stuff

You don’t hear it anywhere else but the US — especially the NE. In 11 years at a legacy and 2 years at an ACMI, I’ve never seen a colleague act in such an unprofessional manner.
But I remember seeing a lot of it at the regional I worked for.
Anecdotal, I know. But it’s all I have to go on. I really wish the FAA would violate some of these clowns.
