Default Orbis MD-10

Couldn’t find the cool of the day thread. But for sure it’s the fedex pilots who volunteer to fly this airplane.

Apparently today is giving day, if you give $100 it’s doubled somehow to $200. That pays for about 15 minutes of apu fuel... but I suppose every little bit helps.

Every time I see a MD10, the L1011 lover in me wonders how history could of been different if the Lockheed engineers allowed additional engine choices? Would we still see L1011's flying?

Thanks for sharing that. I’ve never heard of that program.

It started in 1982, using an old UAL DC-8 flown by retired airline pilots.

Great point! I like everything about the L1011 better.

Who cares if those poor kids can see, the program needs to be shut down.
They are ruining Greta's future.

I know a couple of the guys who fly/run the certificate for the airplane. The amount of time they volunteer is unbelievable. They have to write their own manuals and training material as well as all other flying duties for the airplane. These guys/gals are true hero’s for those that gain from the flying hospital.
