Well, not too much help. But when I was there 3 years ago, most were slightly over $200. The two areas were in Winthrop or Beechmont/Revere. The ones in Beechmont/Revere are right off of the blue line. Take you right to the airport and there were enought things close by to not need a car. I think Winthrop was a 2 legger. Train to a bus.

Sorry I don't have more info. Right off the Beechmont stop is not too bad. Not the best, but not terrible. I heard at Revere it could be a little more sketchy. There was a grocery store not too far away from the Beechmont stop, as well as a few liquor stores and some great take out places. It's hard to beat the convience of the train taking you right there.

I would consider the area around Mavrick Square in East Boston. It's the next stop after the airport on the way to Boston. The area is slowly being "Yupafied" and waterfront apartments (beautiful night view of Boston) are springing up everywhere. I grew up in Winthrop and us "Irish" kids didn't venture into Italian East Boston. These days there is a "poloyglot" of ethnic groups.
The airport is in East Boston and you can walk to the airport train station(catch shuttle to airport) from many locations. Take a look at any of the maps.
