Swing and a miss. Nancy Pelosi is holding the American people hostage now.

Senate finally comes to a bipartisan agreement, but the house is going to cause further delays.

Unemployment claims are up in unprecedented numbers, suicide calls are up 40% and they're trying to use the crisis as a way to shoehorn in stuff that has nothing to do with keeping the average American employed. In fact they're interested in carbon emissions restrictions which would probably hurt the airlines. Now is not the time to worry about that.

What fake news are you reading? It's 4 Republican senators holding it up because they think the jobless benefits are too cushy.

Politico. Jake Sherman said that Pelosi ended the house session after 2 minutes.

I also doubt in the house that with a Democrat majority it would be an issue. There's 232 Democrat seats and 197 Republican seats. Vox, with a V, this morning was projecting that the Democrats would pass it today unanimously, in the interest of the people. Unfortunately that is not happening.

The Senate struck a deal in the middle of the night, so I'm not sure how 4 senators are somehow holding it up in the house. It's moved on from the Senate.

The bill is currently being held up in the Senate by four Republican senators because they feel the bipartisan agreed upon unemployment benefits are too generous. Latest news is after an amendment vote (which will likely fail) is held the bipartisan bill will be voted on tonight and sent to the House where it is expected to pass.

It says “Air Carrier” and last I checked regionals are “Air Carriers.”

Nah, I'll fess up that I misread the information to draw a conclusion. I read it as a deal being reached in the middle of the night was it passing. I know the difference between the two houses of Congress.

I did see in a CNN article though that AOC might force house members to return potentially delaying the final passage.

Point is that Americans are desperate and need relief. This ain't the time to play politics.

it’s not playing politics, it’s making sure proper labor protections are included in this bill, and making sure it isn’t yet another corporate welfare check that puts no responsibility on upper management.

The bill passed with every single senator voting yes. 100% bipartisan support.

Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders voted together. Let's ease up on the political mudslinging

Does a regional apply directly to the government for funds, or does that money go to the parent company since they own the flying to be used to cover the network as they feel necessary? If that money went directly to United, would the furlough protections include a regional that was contracted to cover certain routes?
