I wouldn't say Skyhigh made a bad choice for getting out of aviation.
My problem is with him tell the rest of us we made a bad choice for staying in it. That there is no hope. No upside. No future. And he certainly feels that newbies are fools for getting into this.

It's as simple as this...you've got almost 2700 posts here!!! That's insane!!! Obviously you've got the time and motivation to stay current here. If you really want that Alaska job, you'll find a way to get the 1000 PIC. No one's impressed with your sob story. I remember my first day at UPS. Everyone made it to that room a different way. The point is, they all made it. Some had families, some were single. That doesn't matter in the end. There are others right behind you with the drive and determination to do so. LEAD, FOLLOW, OR GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!

Its Frontier, and yes I am proud to have made it that far.
My point was to show SkyHigh that you can still make it past the regional level without having 5,000 hours of PIC turbine, because his case seems to say thats the only way to make it now a days.
