And they have…what? Six aircraft? A real opportunity if they survive and grow…but you just get to start over again if they fold.

To clarify the OP's statement, Avelo beats United's year 1 FO pay. After that, it's all downhill.

Anyone know how much cash Avelo's burned through so far?

They've also go a base in New Haven, CT.
Rather odd route structure. Still a better route structure than Breeze though.

Probably about the same amount Breeze has.

Considering the last successful startup was Allegiant, and jetBlue before that .... yeah. Go ahead and roll those dice.

Very true on the pay, UAL pay is not even remotely close after year 1 is over. You'd have to be 64 years old for the numbers to make sense. Not sure on the second part but UAL did lose 2 billion for 2021 even after receiving 4 billion in federal bailouts.

Small point of order, allegiant was founded and started first (97/98), then went thru a bankruptcy after its first couple years in 2000. Jetblue was founded in 98, started ops in 2000.

Delta lost more than that, and lost way more than anyone else in 2020, including Boeing, who received ZERO bailout dollars.
