Except this time, not.

We had a world shattering (closing) virus and yet we pumped so much money into our economy that we skyrocketed everything (except holding cash). It's time to pay the piper.

Personal savings rates hit an all time high during the pandemic so not sure what you are referring to regarding “except holding cash”

This summer is the boom of travel from all those who waited 2 yrs in the pandemic and never went anywhere, now going out with a vengeance. This will die down. And then we will see, as the pandemic taught us, people don’t really have to fly. With gas, energy, food, rent, mortgages all going up and a recession underway, demand for air tickets will drop off.
Economy shamonomy! People will always throw money at liquor, smokes & allegiant tickets.

Really weird statement if you are in the industry. Demand, yield and advance ticket sales are through the roof. If Delta network had their way they would bump the schedule up 20%.

Yeah, people went from no savings to having a few hundred dollars in savings. That’ll really help.

If things are so much more expensive, why is it that companies are having a hard time finding people to work? One would think that people would be falling all over themselves for a job.

The average savings in accounts went from $1000 to $8000. Don't let facts get in your way.

Care to finish that thought or does full disclosure not fit your narrative?

192 Republicans vote against sending $28 million to a failing government agency (FDA), then redirect the money to help starving babies on WIC.

Where exactly did you pull your “facts” from?

https://www.cnbc.com/2022/05/21/americans-now-have-an-average-of-9000-dollars-less-in-savings-than-in-2021.html

Also, here’s an article referring specifically to savings increase during the pandemic, which was an increase of only $1,300.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2022/02/23/savings-bank-accounts-covid/

I’ll assume you watched some hack on MSNBC who wouldn’t know left from right when it comes to finances, rattle off those numbers you listed as “fact”.
