Way to go STEAMTOLLER, you finally found a topic everyone here seems to agree on, being against this bill and terrible idea. You already got five extra years…here’s the door. Buh-bye.

Hey STEAMROLLER Thanks for the new thread, which is already discussed here: https://www.airlinepilotforums.com/u...-age-67-a.html

NOBODY wants this, not even ALPA.

For trivia, the chance of this being passed, per GovTrack, is 3%

Absolutely not. I'll be telling my reps to vote no.

You didn't even get one sentence in without alienating almost everyone not already onboard. "the experienced pilots". The rest of us must be chopped liver.

ICAO came into being on April 4, 1947. Statements like the above which are so easily vetted make everything stated by the group suspect and without credibility (credultiy if you will). Completely amateur in my opinion.

Dead On Arrival. Hell no.

What negative impacts does this have beyond seniority progression? Honestly most pilots I know (not many) that are close to 65 are taking an early out anyway. Honest question.

Boomers legislating for boomers.
Good news, this new year caps insulin at $35 a month but only if you are a boomer senior citizen.

Wanna fly past 65? Here, ya go...

Think about it. It's the only industry where the US government makes you retire at 65 but won't let you collect full SS until 67 ish. So i would support this bill based on that alone. When you personally choose to retire is your business.
