I did not have that experience. It may not have always been that way, but as recently as a few months ago, cancelling the recurring monthly charge was very simple.

1 or 2 clicks away from the main landing page. Easy peasy.

Just had a Skywest JS that has a job offer from UA but no class date. Basically in a holding pattern there.

Classes to resume in July to the tune of 100/month. Hopefully said pilot will hear back soon with a class date

I don't think it's that simple, I must have missed a step cause I was charged for 6 months after I got a successful interview. Maybe I missed that one or maybe I didn't follow the steps to their cancellation policy after being so elated to get a cjo. Either way I paid my extortion fee, got the job and maybe someone got to fund their Miata purchase with it.

They also hiked their prices significantly since covid. Information doesn’t suffer from inflation.

It's a free market, make your version of it and give it all away for free or a one-time fee. If you don't like it, don't use it. Set a reminder on your phone to cancel it. I mean there are several great alternatives to solve this issue you have with the website but coming here and complaining about a common way services charge these days won't help.
