Do we as pilots have any legal (not contractual) definition of what classifies as overtime? If no tax on overtime ever comes to fruition it would be great have a reference there.

I think there's a cap on income that prevents most pilots from qualifying for mandatory overtime pay, it's like $58k. Since ours is contractual, I would imagine we would pay income tax on that.

I have more sympathy on no tax on tips than I do no tax on overtime. If I'm giving someone money that I've already been taxed on - and it is truly a gift under my annual limit on gift-giving - I see no reason or moral justification for the feds or the state to claim any portion of that money. Overtime ... that's just me working to earn more money. No reason for a special tax status and likely harder than hell to do the bookkeeping.

At least there’s a track record during his first term where many promises were in fact kept. I’m cautiously optimistic.
When it comes to no tax on tips—that’s great for many servers who likely pay little tax on cash tips anyway.

Yeah I think either side would agree with that policy and most probably do.
