7/26 Hub Turn Meeting
"We're not trying to sell you the LOA."
"If you want to know what the trips/lines are going to look like, maybe you should contact the company's SIG representative."
"The tax equalization plan is a good deal for us, but it's so complicated I don't understand it."
"The company handed us the tax equalization program and told us it was a good deal for the pilots. We contacted Price Waterhouse, who constructed the tax equalization program for the company, and they gave us the same information. Finally, we hired a New York tax equalization specialist who contacted Price Waterhouse and got the same information."
Three identical descriptions of the tax equalization program from the same source. Amazing!

Or maybe not and you should. I am willing to bet that it is not standard accounting practice to make an expat pay more in taxes then he would with out tax equalization. I.E. I'll bet "standard" companies give you the option of getting out of tax equalization if it is in your interest.

If it passes you aren't going to bid it.
If it fails you aren't going to bid it.
If the company accepts all the various hoped for improvements articulated here, you might but......they aren't going to accept any of them so he's right, why worry about tax equalization. Unless of course, you want tax equalization for your one month forced STV?

I don't wear panties, but maybe you could loan me some of yours so I can see how it feels to get them in a bunch...

Anybody from the SIG here? I take it back, the MEC does have gonads too bad they are only on display when talking to us. Just E-Mailed the SIG, I would encourage a couple of hundred more E-Mails.

IMHO, if you think Tax equalization is a bad thing, then there is nothing in this LOA, or even in our CBA that you will find acceptable. IMHO, you and your missing panties should go elswhere and find other employment.
There are plenty of other problems for our pilot group without going ballistic, because you can't understand an actual benefit.
