Avelo is/was doing the ICE deportation flights. They're already in bed with the current administration.
Just looking for another hand out like the rest of the lot. ICE Contracts are not chosen, or delegated by the administration. ICE, like DOD, issues a “Request for Bid” for services. Ice does not require the airline management to stand on a soap box and swear an oath of allegiance to an administration. ICE, like any consumer is interested in the cheapest price. The air carrier reviews the requirements. The details, like in the past specifies destination. In my past experience, the destination has been the origin country where the individuals came from. Carriers, based on ICE requirements, and the airlines’ specific culture, have the option to, or not to bid. |

Trump told CNBC's "Squawk Box": "I don't mind mergers. I think I'd love somebody to buy Spirit, as an example. You know, Spirit's in trouble. ... Maybe the federal government should help that one out."

every shop is doing deportation flights. Yes,even beloved Delta. Akima is one of the big contractors that does them, they escort illegals on commercial flights daily, you would never know because there is no fanfare or special booking codes alerted to the airlines about these transports

He somewhat ruled out AA/United merging with each other and that’s where the comparison came to mergers killing competition in other industries.
Anyone that wants to buy Spirit will be allowed to. |
