Similar benefits at WN. Having been out on medical last year (back now), I can confirm that your take home pay is an increase with the loss of taxable income.

These benefits also remove the pilot stigma of not addressing health concerns with your AME—get your stuff fixed!

I have noticed over the years that some people are very particular about robust protections for behavior which I personally wouldn't engage in.

Fine line between providing top cover for those of who might legit need it, and defunding the police.
