Default Delta's Airlineapps Question

Actually 2 ???'s for you well educated and experienced types out there concerning the Delta online app...

1-Did any of you get an interview without the 3 Delta internal recommendations?

2-Did the application always have a military sortie count? I just reviewed mine for the fourth time and noticed I had put my military hours in there, maybe showing 3500 military sorties scared the hell out of 'em that's why I haven't been called. I could have sworn that it used to be military hours not sorties. I can't believe I was that dumb as to not notice the word "sortie" vs. the word "hours" the 3 previous times I updated. Maybe I am, I did go to ERAU after all...

It was mil sorties when I first filled it out for Continental in January 2006.

1. yes.

2. yes. mil sorties add something to your total time but good luck trying to figure out their formula. when you print/review your app for times, expect them not to line up perfectly with what your personal log book reads.

Thanks for the replies...I guess they figured somebody with 3500 military sorties in in 10 years wouldn't even come close to passing the psych eval., hopefully, that's why they haven't called...maybe now that it's fixed, I might get a call...how many seniority numbers could I have lost in a year??? D'OH!!!

It's +0.2 per sortie.

Go to logbookpro.com and check their way of adding that to your app. Who knows what makes them call... I have been called, and look forward to it. I am sure that as long as you read ALL the small fine print on your app, they will call you. You have what they want! Best of luck, see you on the line!

Anyone get an e-mail from Delta about a problem with your app? I somehow forgot my High School and received and e-mail asking me to fix my problem for further consideration. I did, about an hour after their e-mail. Just wondering if anyone has gotten that and been called for an interview? Hope they don't think I'm an idiot, even though I obviously am.

I had a similar exchange by email about the question about drug screening on their addendum. I updated the app. I got the "you're invited to interview" email a week or two later. Maybe it's a good thing.

Chuck,
It's a good thing that you got that email about your high school info. It means that they have reviewed your application. And just like Nid said you'll probably get an email for an interview in the next several weeks.

HJS,
It is not required to have 3 internal Delta recommendations but you do need:
"Delta requires a minimum of 3 references with one reference having known you for a period exceeding 10 years."

I only had one internal Delta recommendation, and it was posted after I received the email for an interview.

I wouldn't worry about it. I got any email telling me there was something wrong with my app (I can't remember what it was). I fixed it and even with no internal recs still got the interview and eventually the job. Good luck.
