DAL 11/12 Class
#41
P.S., we have hijacked the hell out of this thread, considering its subject... We'll have to stop in and apologize to the new class on Monday...and thank them for propping us up another 25 numbers in category, at least temporarily. Hope they don't figure out eCrew before the AE closes!
BTW, congrats to all you guys! You're in for a very good experience over the next two weeks.

To further clarify. A few of us were debating this. I can say for fact that they are holding 88 drivers as long as they can on their aircraft. Most if not all are converting at the end of their respective windows. Myself included. My entire class was help up in NYC until they had to convert us to ATL.
This allows the planners to get ahead with other fleets. IE lots of NYC ER and 767 domestic new hires. Unless there is a drastic change in the way that people bid, there will be more of the same.
That said. The AE is what is posted. They can put more or less in a category if needed. There is a ton of leeway here. I would venture to guess that they have made it this way so that they can stick the 700 new hires next year where they want to and not be limited to the 88 and 73N. It is a walk around with the way the PWA is worded.
Basically you will see a lot of NYC then a lot of ATL. Sooner or later they will catch up in NYC with hiring enough people that want to be there that ATL will be where the majority of New Hires will go. But at the current rate it will be some time.
