NWA Profits

Remember
Remember...Mgt didn't over-reach. They only took cuts to the extent they had to for the airline to survive. (And pay out obscene bonuses for getting NWA into and out of bk.) OK...Sarcasm off.

The fact that they can show a profit with oil at close to $90 a barrel and the same non-existent fuel hedges shows that it was never about our pay. They just did it because they could (and we let them).
As soon as we really get serious about asking for our money back, they will start losing money again, even if oil is at $40 a barrel. It's all smoke and mirrors and we are just rats running around in the maze they provide.

The three card monty will continue. NBA contract & MLT flying is all being shifted from Champion to NWA. More guaranteed profits on the horizon. Their stock will only go up. Plus they did hedge part of their fuel for 07. The unknown according to the Star Trib is what are they doing for 08? NWA will be in good shape.

Newknow,
You are so right. I don't think the pilot group at NWA is serious about getting their money back. ALPA is totally useless. That's why I left. The whole industry needs to smarten up and move forward together. Until then, get used to it! NWA pilots need to hire some negotiators next round and go in and get the job done or walk away.
