um, why can't a big airline like American or United roll this out? Again, it takes a scrappy start-up carrier that actually gives a dang about service to be the first to offer something truly amazing like this.

There are some established companies (3M, Dupont come to mind), who are in the business of innovation...other than that, the start-ups rule.

When will JetBlue ever offer its WiFi on a B747, B777, or B787 going over the North Pole to China?
Every ailrine trys to set itself apart in certain ways.
How is JetBlues long haul International Business class rated in Conde Nast Traveler?
Point is there is a big difference in a start up domestic and an established Int'l legacy carrier. Different things need money allocated in different area. But I would be willing to bet CAL, United, American, and Delta will offer WiFi before you offer long haul business travelers the options I mentioned above.
Have a BLUE day.

Why can't a start up like JetBlue fly to Milan, Rome, Athens, Biejing, Hong Kong, London, Paris, Lima, Hawaii, and other places?

Let me quote part of that article and by reading it, you should understand why DAL, AA, UAL, CAL and others are NOT offering it... yet:
"One reporter had difficulty composing and sending e-mail from his Yahoo account, even though he was able to reply to incoming e-mails. E-mails he sent from a BlackBerry provided by JetBlue never reached his intended recipients even though the device confirmed that they were sent. Another reporter had difficulty receiving and replying to e-mails in her Yahoo account."
Once JB or others have mastered it, the other airlines will follow and have it installed. Just a matter of time and $$$....

JetBlue's niche is not as an international carrier, guys. Lame comparison.
It's companies like JetBlue that really do care about the customer experience, and that's why innovation takes place there. Just look at Frontier's Satellite TV in every aircraft's seat back. What legacy has this? That's right, noneofem.
