Default Pilot Pay and Per Diem

I always thought of a per diem as a payment for time away from home (For instance when sleeping in a hotel room on a trip). But I recently read something that said you are paid per diem at the hourly rate from the time you leave your base (Say monday afternoon) and return to your base (Say Thursday afternoon). Does that mean that you would receive 96 hours of per diem, or is it just for time between flights?

Most pilot pay scales max out at 12 years on this website. Does that mean that if you stay with the same airline, in the same aircraft, in the same seat, and you surpass 12 years, does your pay still continue to go up?

What is international override pay? I have an educated guess, but I am not sure.
Thanks a lot

correct on the perdiem. it's paid based on time away from base. a 3-day trip would yield about 72 hours of perdiem, give or take.

once you reach the top of the pay scale, that's it; any future raises have to come from negotiated raises in the contract 12-year rate.

international override is the few extra dollars you get for flying international. ususally something like $6 per hour for captains, $4 for FO's, and $2 for SO's.

ours IS gone after the scare ALPA put into us. the company didn't have to lift a finger to frighten all the little girls into giving up their lunch money.

and by the way, a bunch of us here at CO are rooting for you guys big-time and wish you the best in your fight against the criminals in the exec suite.
