At Delta, you and the family are covered day one. It may take a few weeks to get into the system and get medical cards, but they said that if you have expenses you will get reimbursed for medical costs that they health plan you selected would of covered.

According to Boyd at Aviationplanning.com
UAL is a good airline with a management team that has little long term vision for the airline other than to cash it out and get rich - excuse me - I meant to say "unlock shareholder value."
Delta at least is saying all the right things about leading the direction of their own fate over the long term.
United seems to be going through the same difficult times Delta was back when there were more McKinsey Consultants in the GO than managers. Things could turn around, but right now I do not see United as being on a positive vector unless they change Company leadership.
