Do some research my friend. Rumors going around about DL buying UA, DL buying NW, CO buying DL, bla bla bla.....The young and the restless shows less drama.

For the Delta kids. I had one yours on my jump seat the other day. Were talking about Ins. costs. He said his plan had him paying over $5000 out of pocket before anything kicked in. Is this a bare bones plan that he chose or do they offer better options that cost more?

Delta has account based healthcare coverage. There are many permutations, but the most popular Healthcare Savings Account does have a $4,500 self insured retention, but after that coverage is 100% of in network costs.

80/20 coverage with copays can cost you more in the long run and the HSA funding is tax free and you own it, as a way of tax deferred savings.

My wife is the type that goes to the Dr. for a runny nose, so we picked a plan where DL picks up the first $1,000, then we have to meet a deductible up to $2,500 ($1,500 exposure) to get to 80/20. The cost is less than last year's plan and what ever my wife doesn't use rolls over to next year.

Preventitive care (wellness visits, gynecological, etc...) is covered from dollar one.

This explanation is a consolidation of 40+ pages of materials, but I think HSA's are the wave of the future thanks to laws that encourage their use.

Best choice is the one that hires you first... this business is so jacked that things change each day. Apply to both... and accept the first one who hires you... that is the real challenge... getting hired.

Go read up on HSA's combined with high deductible medical plans. It's the way of the future. And yes he choose it and there are three other more traditional options that are very economical. If you're healthy
the HSA becomes another IRA to put tax sheltered money in.

14 after the first year. Goes up to three after five. I think that it ends up at five. Used to be six.
Vacation year is from April to April.

This is the best advice. Apply to everyone that is hiring and go with the first one that picks you up.
