Spirit Airlines

Spirit had an internship program for ERAU dudes where you could go be a gate agent and a flight attendant for a couple of years and then they might give you a first officer position...i dunno seemed a little fishy to me, and i didn't much want to use my "prestigious" aviation education to go serve some fat tourists drinks....
no gate agent or FA job for those ERAU guys...
They are already on the line (some with less than 300 hrs)
they get interviewed then thrown into ground school...

I put my application in about a week ago. Hoping to hear something soon but with no internal connections I'm not sure how long it'll take. Hey CAREERPILOT, how'd the interview go? If you could post some gouge it looks like there are some of us who could use it.

Some of you guys need to look up some facts.
We are NOT a "Major", or "Legacy", we are a "national" airline.
Those ERAU "dudes" (and "Dudettes" BTW), did not have to be an FA or gate agent.
And, they are not on the line yet, as far as I know. But then again I've been off for a month. And still have another half to go.
Carreer pilot, good luck. The people you'll work with are great ( for the most part). The people you work FOR, well, it's managment.
The new union leaders coming on will hopefully change some things, and get this contract done!
I hope you like SJU!

I am already planning on SJU if I get hired. I am thinking because of all the hiring that I won't have to do too much time down there. I was also told that Spirit is heading down to SJU to recruit Pilots. I know that Eagle has a lot of pilots who reside down there and would love this new opportunity.
