Default International jumpseat

Hey guys, I'm looking to go to Austria in a few weeks and I'm trying to figure out how this works. I'm thinking of going direct on Delta,
I'm trying to figure out the international fees and if they have unlimited jumpseaters for international flights. Any help?

I've never jumped delta int'l, byt a couple coworkers have. The best way if leaving ATL is to head to the Delta information counter on concourse E, they will help you out and take your money for taxes. They also list you for the return flight, which is of great help in getting out of int'l airports with agents who have no idea what "jumpseating" is. The terminal ticket counters are of little help, just bypass them if possible. The gate agents at the gates will usually send you back to the info counter to list. This is info a couple years old and may have changed. As far as I know, they allow multiple riders on int'l.

I've taken DAL out of ATL to Europe a couple times. The above post is correct. You will need to go to the International customer service counter and get "passport listed" Also, this has to be done 75 OR 90 minutes prior to go time. I can't remember which. If you don't do this, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET ON THE FLIGHT, PERIOD.

I don't believe that DAL has a restriction on the amount of int'l JS'ers. I heard that UAL does. And not even their own guys can give you a straight answer on that.

I forgot to add, try to grab a few extra JS forms in ATL. Sometimes when you go out of the country they don't have them on the other end.

And this is just a personal choice. But go to the store and buy one of those Hershey's Chocolate bags that has the Halloween size assorted chocolats in there. You know, the regular, the dark, the crackle, etc. Those FA's go CRAZY for that stuff on those long legs. Also helps grease the wheels to ensure you get a good seat if they have them open.

Make sure to save some for the return trip as well.

Unlimited jumpseaters are allowed. You should be seated in business if a seat is available. You must list at least 75 minutes prior to the flight. This is a TSA not Delta rule and can't be waived. I think you can call 1 800 325 2739 and follow the prompts to the XCM desk and and get listed in advance. You can list for more then one flight if you have a backup in mind. As mentioned there will normally be some international fees to pay so go to the information counter. The crew will normally arrive at the aircraft about 1 hour prior to departure. Try and catch the captain so he knows you are there in case you get a agent who is not pilot friendly. Loads are very high to Europe after June so if its summer have lots of backups in mind.

Talk to your jumpseat coordinator, that is what they are there for, and he or she can get you all the right answers right from the horses mouth.
