Default CAL reduces pass benefits...

CAL has reduced pass benefits to eligible employees. Buddy Passes are now double in price unless booked prior to the end of MAY, they are doing away with the free pass travel for 10+ yrs seniority, and are looking to increase the fee for parents, dependents, and significant others...

I work for xjt but anyone on mainline want to confirm this. I know the buddy pass thing was true but the rest is questionable info. I know a lot of senior commuters at CAL that just list for the flight instead of jumpseating. Sucks if its true

The Pass Travel portion of our employee reservations system makes NO mention of changes to the free pass travel benefit or increasing the other fees. But YES, buddy pass charges are increasing. So what? All my buddies work for the airlines anyway.

Are they going to yank our (XJT) vacation passes? If so, it's time for some European Vacations before they're gone..

Good luck getting on................. Business/first class on CAL across the pond is way on up there as far as the "get spoiled" scale goes. Good luck!

Did I miss the bulletin on the charge for pass travel with 10+ years? I saw the one about doubling buddy pass charges.

No. It's just the buddy passes. Who cares? They always sucked. Now they suck twice as much?

no xjt will keep the vacation passes and pass travel will stay the same if we are bought out by SKW.

Its not too hard to get on either. I just did ewr-snn last week and have done ewr-cvg with no problems.
