I noticed a "Chinese pilots have to pay to leave" was closed? May I ask why?
There was only one reply and I thought the thread had an excellent Forbe's article on how the pilots in China get treated by their airlines...
I think one of the best ways of preserving our pay and benefits is to make sure our potential competition is not so 'cheap' anymore. Therefore learning as much as we can about their conditions might in the long run help to preserve or even to improve our own conditions...
So is there a good reason to why it was closed? Were there other replies that I’ve missed? I'm confused...

I think I remember locking this one because there was another thread on this subject. Usually I'll put a reason why a thread was locked, and this one doesn't have one, so perhaps is was another mod. Anyhow, there was already an active thread with the exact same article in the link.
We try to keep it to one thread per news story quote. Chaos would rein if there were multiple threads on the exact same subject.
Threads also get locked for TOS violations. Again, it's always my intention to leave a reason for any moderation at APC.
